About our publications
The IHR has been a leading and respected publisher of original historical research for nearly 100 years. Today our publications include an academic journal, Historical Research, and the scholarly book series IHR Conference Series and New Historical Perspectives.
We are also home to the Victoria County History, one of the country's most prestigious works of scholarly reference, and to a range of digital resources including the Bibliography of British and Irish History and Reviews in History which help historians navigate the latest writing in their field of research.
We champion sustainable Open Access (OA) publishing, especially for scholarly books, and innovate in short form histories with our IHR Shorts series.
